What a great weekend in the Johnson house. It started out Friday with a Beth Moore taping at the Life Today studios. I went with Melynda (MIL) and Susan (SIL) and cousin Paige. We got there at 3:00 and we were the first in line!! Now this is a big thing because normally I get there a couple of hours early and I'm like 60 in line! We had a great time chatting it up and getting caught up on everyone and everything. Beth was awesome of course, she is so fun to listen to. I just finished reading Get out of that Pit and I could so see her saying some of the stories she tells in the book.
Saturday we spent the day together as a family. I was also able to go get my haircut which I really needed, and I LOVE IT! Gunnar took the kids to Lunar golf while I was getting that done and we met up afterwords. That night we went out to get a pizza and was nearly hit by a drunk driver. It was only by the grace of God that he missed us and spun into the car behind us. That made for and interesting night. We are huge Cops fans, so getting to see them do a field sobriety test and arresting the guy was like we were on a episode of Cops.
Gunnar is on vacation this week so we are on a mission to see the sites here in the metroplex that we take for granted in our own backyard. We took the kids to the Mint today and it was so interesting to see them make all that money! The kids actually really enjoyed it. Faith our little brainiac had to read all the signs. After that we took the kids to downtown Ft Worth and ate at Potbelly's it was great they had great sandwiches and a great atmosphere. We then headed to the Cowgirl Museum. We were not able to stay long but it was very interesting we are going to take them back so we can spend a bit more time there. All in all it was a very busy weekend. It has been a while since the last post so this one ended up being longer than usual.

I am praising God with chills running up my spine that you guys are safe! God is good!
I love the pictures of ELI shaving!
I love the new do too!
When you guys get back from "vacation" lets go swimming! But I am trying to lay low so you can enjoy the downtime as a family this week. I know it is not often you get to spend this fun time together so live it up my friend, live it up!
Love the hair BLONDIE! Enjoy your vacation and LOVED spending time with you!
Thanks for the post. I have been missing my office visits! I realize that I have become spoiled - getting to see my son, my daughter-in-love, and my crowning glories, while also working. It doesn't get any better than that. Now if Susan would come get me for a Sonic run once a week, I'd be one happy Lynnie....maybe! Enjoy your week and I am so grateful for a God who protects. Good defensive driving, Gunnar - lessons learned by all!
